Let me start by saying that I married into the best. family. ever. Not to discredit my own parents (I love them to pieces and they are SO wonderful), but I believe I also hit the jackpot with my in-laws. They are the most generous, loving, and family-orientated people I know. And just this week, they celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. Phil (my FIL) surprised Joyce (my MIL) with a party, having invited all of our family and their closest friends. After dinner and mingling, Phil told us the story of how he fell in love with his wife. He ended it down on one knee, presenting her with a new wedding ring- asking his sweetheart to be with him forever. There was not a dry eye in the house as we all recognized the insane amount of love they have for each other. In this crazy world, true love can still survive.
